October 2013 US On-line Poker Payment Processing Report

Posted by admin | Poker Affiliates | Wednesday 16 October 2013 9:44 pm

The biggest news this month came out of the Revolution Gaming Network. Juicy Stakes was acquired by Zagox Management. There is no information publicly available about this company, but Intertops immediately announced that it would share its player pool with Juicy Stakes. It had been about two months since Intertops ring-fenced its players from the rest of the network at higher limit cash games, sit and gos and guaranteed tournaments. It would appear that this news can only be good for the current situation at Revolution. Last month’s report may be found here.

Bovada
Bovada is a US facing skin on the Bodog Poker Network. It is the largest site that accepts US players. Bovada players reported some issues with checks bouncing in the past month. These checks were quickly replaced and in some cases players were notified before going to the bank. Other than this issue, cashout speeds were consistent with last month.
Bovada continues to pay US players quickly. Checks arrive in about one week. The maximum check cashout is $ 3,000. Players are reporting bank wire speeds of about two weeks. The bank wire maximum is $ 5,000. Players can receive either one free check or bank wire per month. Additional checks and wires carry a $ 50 fee. MoneyGram transfers are processed in 12-48 hours. Western Union speeds have slowed. Some are taking as long as 10 days to process, although most are running in the 3-7 day range. The fees and limits posted below were verified by PAS in the Bovada client on October 15, 2013:

Money Transfer/WU Rapid Transfer/MG
  • $ 100 – $ 249 Fee: $ 50
  • $ 250 – $ 499 Fee: $ 75
  • $ 500 – $ 999 Fee: $ 100
  • $ 100 – $ 1499 Fee: $ 150
  • $ 1500 – $ 2000 Fee: $ 200

  • $ 100 – $ 199 Fee: $ 20
  • $ 200 – $ 399 Fee: $ 30
  • $ 400 – $ 599 Fee: $ 45
  • $ 600 – $ 800 Fee: $ 60

Winning Poker Network
The Winning Poker Network, which processes payments for Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker and True Poker, has grown considerably over the past few months. Part of this growth can likely be attributed to its fast cashout speeds to US players.
Debit card withdrawal requests continue to be processed in 2-4 days. The card is issued by a processor for the Winning Poker Network. It may be used at any ATM or point of sale. The card must be requested before having it available as an option in the cashier. There is a fee of $ 25 to request the card and it is delivered in about 2-4 weeks. Each debit card withdrawal carries a $ 4.95 fee in addition to what the ATM owner charges as a service fee. There is a $ 2 fee to load the card with a cashout request. Players may initiate one debit card withdrawal per week with a $ 2,500 cap. The maximum withdrawal amount per month is $ 10,000.
Checks may also be requested. The maximum check withdrawal is $ 2,995. These are delivered by courier in 10-15 days. The first check each month is free. Additional checks carry a $ 65 fee.
Western Union withdrawal speeds were not reported by any players this month. There is no reason to believe that the speeds may have changed from the 2-3 days quoted last month. The drop off in cash transfer requests may be related to the expanded use of the debit card and quick check withdrawals. The Western Union fees are:

  • $ 100 – $ 299 Fee: $ 60
  • $ 300 – $ 499 Fee: $ 70
  • $ 500 – $ 749 Fee: $ 85
  • $ 750 – $ 999 Fee: $ 95
  • $ 1,000 – $ 1,500 Fee: $ 110

Intertops
Intertops is a member of the Revolution Gaming Network with a separate cashier from other skins. It no longer accepts new US players, but does have many players that signed up before the restriction was put into place. Intertops has the same fast withdrawal speeds as Bovada and Winning Poker. It receives an A- due to its lack of a free cashout option.
Checks are available in amounts up to $ 3,000. The fee is $ 50 and they are delivered in about a week. Bank wires also have a $ 50 fee as well. Receiving bank and intermediaries are likely to charge their own fees for handling the transaction. Wires may be requested in amounts up to $ 2,500 and arrive in 2-3 weeks.
Western Union is the fastest withdrawal option available at Intertops. The fees and limits are as follows:

  • $ 150-$ 500 Fee: $ 70
  • $ 501-$ 1,000 Fee: $ 85
  • $ 1,001-$ 2,000 Fee: $ 180

Merge Gaming
Merge Gaming continued to maintain its improved cashout speeds. The main cashier, which services players on Aced, Carbon Poker, PlayersOnly and Sportsbook, pays US players by check. They arrive by courier in about 1-2 weeks. The maximum cashout per check is $ 2,500 and there are no fees.

Juicy Stakes
I upgraded Juicy Stakes this month based on the recently announced acquisition by Zagox Management. I am putting my faith in the fact that Intertops combined its player base with Juicy Stakes shortly after the announcement. All pending player cashouts were canceled and players must initiate a new request. The downside is that cashouts are no longer free. Players are charged $ 100 for a check and $ 100-$ 180 for a cash transfer. Players were offered a promotion where a free withdrawal will be allowed if $ 25 in rake is generated between October 14th and the date a cashout is requested.

Lock Poker
The Lock Poker situation has gone from bad to worse. There have been no reported cashouts since September 22. Lock Poker funds are trading in the range of $ .10-$ .11 on the dollar in the 2+2 player to player transfer thread. Some players have been waiting since December 2012 for their withdrawal request to be processed. It is hard to put a time period on Lock Poker withdrawals with so few reports and so many players waiting six or more months for cashouts. Players outside the US are waiting 5-7 months for withdrawals. These players can only hope that there is a white knight like Zagox Management.
Two Plus Two member IHasTehNutz compiles data on player reports of Lock Poker withdrawals. The most recent spreadsheet shows over $ 370,000 in pending request that are more than 60 days old to players all over the world. The oldest Western Union pending is from March. This was a slight improvement since our last report. The oldest reported check requests date back to December 2012. This has not changed in at least three months.
